Alan Krashesky is an American Journalist working as the principal news anchor for WLS-TV, an American Broadcasting Company-owned and operated television station in Chicago, Illinois. He became a news reporter for WBNG-TV in Binghamton, New York, after graduating from college in 1981.

Since May 2016, he has co-anchored the 10 pm newscast, originally with Kathy Brock until her retirement on June 27, 2018, and now with Cheryl Burton. Since 1998, he has co-anchored the 6 pm weekday newscast, currently alongside Judy Hsu, and from 1998 to 2018, previously with Kathy Brock. As of May 2016, he is now co-anchoring the 5 pm newscast with Cheryl Burton.
From May 2005 to May 2016, he co-anchored the 4 pm weekday newscast alongside Linda Yu. He previously co-anchored the station at 5 p.m. Weekday Newscast from 1994 to 1998 with Diann Burns. Krashesky was also the first person to anchor the morning newscasts for ABC 7, a role he held from 1989 to 1994
On April 14, 2016, it was announced that after the retirement of news anchor Ron Magers on May 25, 2016, Krashesky will take over the 5 pm and 10 pm newscasts on WLS-TV; in addition to the 6 pm broadcast, he has already anchored. The 4 pm newscasts he had previously anchored with Linda Yu.
