Carson has been on the air for as long as Good Day Oregon has been on the air. Along with Tony Martinez, he was one of the founding members of GDO. It was August of 1996 at the time. Because he doesn’t appear to be old enough to be a grandfather, he goes by the moniker “Snoop Pop Pop.” Andy and his wife have now become empty nesters… for the most part. They acquired a travel trailer and christened it “Esther the Empty Nester” as soon as the kids were out of the house.

He was on a FOX 12-sponsored team named “Real News, Fake Runners” for the past few years. Andy began streaking wearing clothes on December 12th, 2017. Every day, he is required to run at least one mile. Whatever the case may be. I’m sick, stranded at an airport, and in the middle of a cycle through Oregon. He gets to join an online group of other streakers once he reaches a year and see how long he can keep the streak going.

Carson’s responsibilities on Good Day Oregon include weather and a program called “Andy’s Adventures.” For the adventures, he and his friend and photographer, Uncle Rico, travel all throughout Oregon, into Washington, and even into Canada.
