Prior to joining FOX 9 in December of 2017, she was a correspondent for a national news network’s Detroit, Michigan bureau. Onile-Ere has also reported and anchored at WDIV-TV, the NBC affiliate in Detroit, WJRT-TV, the ABC affiliate in Flint, Michigan, and the CBS affiliate in Duluth, Minnesota, where she began her on-air news career.
Furthermore, she has covered a number of national breaking news stories, including the murder trial of former Minneapolis Police Officer Mohammad Noor, Flint’s water crisis, Detroit’s historic bankruptcy, and General Motors ignition switch recall. Throughout her career, she has received two Michigan Emmy Awards and a Michigan Associated Press Award.
