McDonald Biography

Chelsi McDonald is an American sports reporter and a member of the National Association of Black Journalists. McDonald became a member of 7News as a Sports Reporter in October 2016.
Before serving at 7News, she was a Sports Reporter/Anchor in New Orleans, Louisiana. She covered the New Orleans Saints, New Orleans Pelicans, LSU as well as Tulane. She reported on the NFL Draft, the Senior Bowl, and also at LSU’s introduction of a new football coach. She started her tv career in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, as a Sports Reporter/Anchor. She was a sideline reporter for college and high school football games.
Mcdonald graduated from Florida State University. She received an Honor’s in Mass Media/Communications. During college, she served as a Sports Reporter for SunSports and WFSU. She was one of the FSU Cheerleading squad for four years and worked as a co-captain for one season.
