Before Mario Lopez took over the show Extra in 2008, she was the co-anchor with Mark McGrath. She joined Extra in 1999 as the weekend anchor; then became the weekday anchor in 2003. Devon worked in television news for over ten years before joining Extra. She started her broadcast journalism career as a weekend anchor at San Antonio’s KTSA-AM radio station. She went on to work as an anchor for ABC’s KMID-TV in Midland, Texas, and CBS’s KLST in San Angelo, Texas. Devon began working as a reporter for WPTY-TV, an ABC affiliate in Memphis, Tennessee, in 1997.
She was promoted to anchor of the station’s three newscasts the next year. Devon and her news team won an Emmy Award for “Best Live Broadcast” in 1998. Devon also acted as an interviewer in Monty Python’s Personal Best episode starring John Cleese.Devon began introducing the Sensa Weight-Loss System on HSN in January 2009. Her hsn.com blog was also updated on a daily basis. Devon switched to ShopNBC in the fall of 2009, where he presented Sensa systems in “Our Top Value” segments on a regular basis.
