She was promoted to serve as a news director in February 2014 and she also served as the anchor of “NewsChannel 7 Today” for thirteen years. She attended and graduated from the University of Florida’s College of Journalism and Communications and after her graduation, she joined WJHG in June 1994.
While she has served at WJHG, she has reported on a wide variety of stories such as; traveling to San Diego to follow a Panama City soldier injured in Iraq through his rehabilitation, she was on the from the front lines of many tropical storms and hurricanes, such as Hurricanes Ivan, and Opal which seriously damaged the area, and also reported from the cockpit of an F-16 with the Air Force Thunderbirds.
As of the moment, she mentors future journalists via the Advisory Board for the UF College of Journalism where she is a member. In addition, her name has been mentioned severally in the category of Best of Bay Favorite Media Personality. Prior to being a beneficiary of a number of Associated Press awards, and Hearst Broadcast News awards. Furthermore, while working at WJHG, she has served as a news anchor, reporter on almost every shift, and as a meteorologist for a number of years.

In the community, she is very active as she volunteers on the board of the local American Cancer Society and she has worked as an honorary chair of Making Strides Against Breast Cancer. In 2013, she lost her mom to breast cancer and since then she became more passionate about raising career awareness in society. In Northwest Florida, she was awarded for her volunteer efforts in fighting cancer with the American Cancer Society’s Hope Award.
