Clark grew up in Albany, Western Australia, where he played football for the Railways. He relocated to Perth at the age of 17 to attend Guildford Grammar School and play for the Claremont Football Club’s colts. The Geelong Football Club selected him 15th overall in the 2018 AFL draft.
