Lydia Kulbida is an American journalist currently working for NEWS10 in New York as an anchor and reporter. She came to NEWS10 in September 2009, bringing over a decade of broadcasting expertise to the Capital Region. She was a member of the Best Newscast, as determined by the New York State Broadcasters Association, at the time.

She is particularly proud of her volunteer work with the March of Dimes, the Alzheimer’s Association of Northeastern New York, The Legal Project, Zorepad Ukrainian Folk Dancers, Living Resources, and the Center for Independence. Lydia received an award from the Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children for her efforts to promote the safety and well-being of children.
She came to the Capital Region from WWLP-TV 22 in Springfield, Massachusetts, where she spent four years anchoring the 5 p.m. news and reporting. Lydia graduated from New York University with a B.A. in Broadcast Journalism, and she began her on-camera career in the North Country, anchoring and reporting for TV-8 in Glens Falls, where she also worked with NEWS10 Meteorologist Andy Gregorio. She then worked for Buffalo’s National Public Radio affiliate, WBFO-FM, for four years as a news anchor and music director.
