In 1989, Hall graduated from Ravenscroft School in Raleigh, and in 1993, he earned a bachelor’s degree in liberal arts from Earlham College in Richmond, Indiana. While he initially stated that he intended to become a lawyer, he later admitted that he had never seriously considered attending law school. In 1996, Hall completed the Tisch School of the Arts’ graduate acting program at New York University.
