In 1989, Hall graduated from Ravenscroft School in Raleigh, and in 1993, he earned a bachelor’s degree in liberal arts from Earlham College in Richmond, Indiana. While he initially stated that he intended to become a lawyer, he later admitted that he had never seriously considered attending law school.
