She took issue with Trump’s words ordering his opponents to “go back” to the “places from which they came” while presenting BBC Breakfast with Dan Walker in July. Munchetty stated, ” “As a woman of color, every time I was ordered to return to my homeland, I knew it was based on bigotry. Now, I’m not accusing anyone here, but you are aware of the meanings of certain expressions.”
She was a contestant on the fourteenth series of Strictly Come Dancing, and she was voted off in week four after being paired with Pasha Kovalev. In October 2017, she co-hosted Britain’s Classroom Heroes with Sean Fletcher.
