Chambers co-hosts KTLA’s Weekend News and Sunday Edition. In May of 2011, he joined the KTLA news team. He’s also a front-line, Emmy Award-winning reporter who’s spent more than 20 years covering Southern California’s biggest stories. The 1992 riots were Rick’s first assignment in Los Angeles. Since then, he has provided live coverage of the Northridge earthquake, the O.J. Simpson trial, the Malibu and Laguna fires, and Ronald Reagan’s funeral.
Chambers has moderated national conferences and conducted interviews with presidential candidates. He’s brushed elbows with celebrities on the red carpet and had one-on-one conversations with the day’s newsmakers. Chambers worked as an anchor at WSVN-TV in Miami before moving to L.A., where he covered everything from storms to the rise of the South Florida drug trade. He also visited Louisville, Kentucky, and Harrisburg, Illinois, earlier in his career.
