Steven Yeun is an American actor and producer. He is known for his role in Glenn Rhee in the television series The Walking Dead and Ben in the film Burning. Yeun got several accolades for the film Burning, he got the National Society of Film Critics Award for Best Supporting Actor.

Yeun was born to Je and Jun Yeun, His father was an architect in South Korea before moving his family in 1988 to Canada, where they lived in Regina, Saskatchewan. He has a younger brother named Brian. The family later moved to the U.S. and settled in Taylor, Michigan, and then Troy, Michigan, where Yeun lived until he graduated from Troy High School in 2001.

Instead of going to law school or medical school, Yeun told his parents that he wanted to pursue an improv career in Chicago. His parents were dissatisfied with his decision, but they nevertheless supported him and gave him two years to pursue acting. Near 2005, he and his brother came to Chicago and settled in Lincoln Square.
He joined Stir Friday Night, an Asian-American sketch comedy troupe, shortly after graduating. Danny Pudi from Community is one of the group’s other alumni. Before relocating to Los Angeles in October 2009, he joined The Second City in Chicago.
He was cast in Joe Lynch’s action-horror flick Mayhem in March 2016. On November 10, 2017, the film was released in theaters. Yeun was cast in Bong Joon-action-adventure ho’s thriller Okja in April 2016. At the 2017 Cannes Film Festival, the film competed for the Palme d’Or in the main competition division.
On June 28, 2017, it was made available on Netflix. Yeun also voiced Bo in the 2017 film The Star. After that, Yeun played opposite Lakeith Stanfield, Armie Hammer, and Tessa Thompson in Boots Riley’s dark comedy Sorry to Bother You, which was released in theaters on July 6, 2018. In January 2018, the film made its world premiere at the Sundance Film Festival.
He is a voice actor who has worked on both animated television shows and feature films. Avatar Wan in The Legend of Korra’s second season, Steve Palchuk in Trollhunters and 3Below, Keith in Voltron: Legendary Defender, Nathan Park/Wingspan in Stretch Armstrong and the Flex Fighters.
