William Shatner Biography
William Shatner is a comedian, actor scriptwriter, producer, director, and singer. William is mostly known for his role in the USS star trek as Captain James T Kirk. He is a father of three children. Shatner’s acting life began in the Canadian National Repertory theater where he trained as a classical Shakespearean actor. Shatner enjoys breeding and showing American Saddlebreds and Quarter Horses in his spare time. In Star Trek Generations, he rode one of his own mares, Great Belles of Fire.

From 1997 to 1999, he was married to Nerine Kidd, who died in 1999. Shatner returned home at 10 p.m. on August 9, 1999, to find Nerine’s body at the bottom of their backyard pool. She was 40 years old at the time. Her blood contained alcohol and Valium (diazepam), and the coroner decided her death was due to accidental drowning. In 2001, Shatner married Elizabeth Anderson Martin.
In 2004, she co-wrote the song “Together” on Shatner’s album Has Been. Shatner filed for divorce from Elizabeth in 2019. The divorce was finalized in January 2020

Shatner attended Willingdon Elementary School and West Hill High School in Notre-Dame-de-Grâce and is a graduate of the Montreal Children’s Theatre. He earned a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Economics from the McGill University Faculty of Management in Montreal in 1952. He received an honorary Doctorate of Letters from McGill University in June 2011. In May 2018, Shatner received an honorary Doctor of Letters from the New England Institute of Technology.

On October 13, 2021, Shatner will embark on Blue Origin’s second human mission, Blue Origin NS-18. From Blue Origin’s Launch Site One in West Texas, he will travel aboard the RSS First Step, the New Shepard suborbital rocket capsule, alongside Chris Boshuizen, Glen De Vries, and Audrey Powers. Shatner will overtake Wally Funk, who embarked on Blue Origin’s first human mission, as the oldest person to fly to space at the age of 90.
