April Warnecke, an Emmy Award-winning meteorologist, has been forecasting weather for Good Morning Arizona for the past 15 years. April took her first work in television at the CBS affiliate in Medford, OR. She met her future husband, Mark McClune, a sports anchor at the same station, there as well.
She eventually accompanied Mark to Spokane, WA, where he took a television position, and the two worked at competing stations before April persuaded him to relocate to sunny and warm Arizona.
She was ecstatic to join the Arizona’s Family cast in 2005, having grown up following Scott Pasmore and Royal Norman on the show . Mark is now employed at the station in the sports department. They have two sons and enjoy tracking storms as well as sporting events across the state.
