Then it was on to Fox affiliate WFLD-TV in Chicago, where he hosted all of the Chicago Bears programmings and covered Michael Jordan’s return to the Bulls.

In September 1998, Horton relocated to Los Angeles and started working as a sideline reporter for Fox Sports Net’s Conference USA kit. As a play-by-play announcer for ESPN, he later started calling college football and basketball games. He’s also worked as a sideline reporter for CBS Sports and called games for ABC Sports, NFL Network, and Fox Sports Net’s coverage of NFL Europe.
