Linda Pellegrino is a celebrated American host of AM Buffalo weekdays at 10:00 AM for over two decades, conducting thousands of live interviews with personalities ranging from the biggest Hollywood stars to British royalty. She contributes feature stories to the program. Before Linda was a well-known reporter as well as a weather caster for Eyewitness News.
She is two times nominee for New York State Emmy awards for her outstanding work. Before joining Channel 7, Linda was a popular radio host on WHAM 1100am radio in Rochester, WBEN Radio 930 as well as on Oldies 104 FM.
Linda graduated from Rockland Community College, SUNY Brockport, and finished some graduate studies at Mississippi State College. She is still moving forward to inspire her viewers after a diagnosis of breast cancer and thyroid cancer in the year 2012. She shared her story and her recovery which involved conversations with doctors, chemotherapy treatment, and hair loss. After thyroid surgery left her with a permanently paralysed vocal cord, she chronicled this surgery and also recovery.
Among her many charitable interests, Linda has worked as honorary chairperson for the physical as well as emotionally handicapped at Buffalo’s Heritage Centers. She personally served alongside Dave Thomas on the “Adopting Hope” campaign with Wendy’s restaurants. She worked on the board of directors with the “Hunter’s Hope” foundation. She is a strong proponent of animal adoption from the Buffalo Animal Shelter. In the year 2013, she was inducted into the Buffalo Broadcasting Hall of Fame. She aspires to be a positive role model for women all over the world, reminding them to be pro-active for their own good health.
