Lorde is a renown New Zealand singer, songwriter, and record producer, best known for her studio album, Melodrama. When she was a teenager, she was signed to Universal Music Group and later worked with record producer and songwriter Joel Little.

At the age of 16, she released her first EP, called The Love Club EP, and Royals was her first single to be released. In November 2013, she signed a contract with Songs Music Publishing. In September 2014, she released her single called Yellow Flicker Beat for the Hunger Games album: Mockingly-Part 1. Later on the 2nd of March, 2017, Lorde revealed that her album’s title would be Melodrama.
On the 9th of March, the same year, she released the album’s single called Liability, but the album itself was released on the 16th of June, 2017. She has won several awards in her music career, including ten New Zealand Music Awards and two Granny Awards. In 2013, she was placed on Time’s list of Most Influential Teenagers in the World.
